Four Paul Harris Awards presented to Members
At our April 7th, lunch meeting Foundation Chair Linda Soles presented three of four members with Awards from The Rotary Foundation.
Adam Popein received his first Paul Harris Fellow. Iris Davies received her Paul Harris +7. While Anthony Muzzillo received his Paul Harris Society award. Natalie Garbay received her Paul Harris +3. (Although she was not able to attend Linda presented it to her in person)A Paul Harris Fellow is given for $1000 USD or more in your lifetime, while becoming a member of the Paul Harris Society requires you elect to give $1000 or more annually.
You may wonder why it’s so commendable to receive a Paul Harris Award. This represents your gift to the Foundation. The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects. The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
You can become a Paul Harris Fellow over an extended time by contributing around $10 a month, or $100 US a year (This initiative is called Every Rotarian Every Year), or if you’re keen on joining the Paul Harris Fellows, why not 100 a month? Contact our Foundation Chair for more information. We have at least 37 members who have received Paul Harris Awards.
On behalf of The Rotary Foundation we congratulate you all on your awards and on your generosity and commitment to making this world a better place to live.
