How to Become a Member of Rotary Club of Kamloops West

After you have submitted your application:
Please continue to come to any of our club meetings! And if there is a volunteer event that interests you, talk to a member about signing up. We want to get to know you!
The process to become a member can take a month or more. Relax and get involved.
Here’s what to expect:
- Criminal Records Check. You will receive an email from the BC Government CRC division to fill out your check. We’ll send you a copy once it is finalized – usually in 2-3 weeks.
- Orientation meeting. You will be invited to meet with some of the Membership Committee to review your application and orient you to the club.
- Membership committee review. Our committee will review your application and notes from your orientation at a monthly committee meeting.
- Board review. You application is presented to the board for approval at a monthly board meeting.
- Club members approval. Your application is presented to all members for review. This can take a couple weeks.
- You’re a member! We notify you that your application is accepted. The secretary will setup your account and give you instructions to access your member info.
- Pay your dues. You will receive an invoice (pro-rated to July 1).
- Induction. At a club meeting, we will induct you into the club and present you with your Rotary pin and new member package.
- Mentor. We assign you a mentor to guide you through your first Rotary year.
- Classification talk. You speak to the club about who you are and what you do. This is usually about 10 minutes long. Your mentor will guide you and answer questions.
